How to report a scam website, and what to do if you think you’ve shared personal information.
Report a website you think is a scam
Scammers create and operate fake websites that can download viruses to your device or aim to steal your passwords and other personal information.
You can report websites you think are scams to The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) who have the power to investigate and take down these websites. Reporting a scam website to NCSC is free and only takes a few minutes. Reporting these websites can help stop cyber criminals and help protect others online.
There is no limit to how many websites you can report and you can even report websites that you think are scams even if they are not as NCSC can still check these.
If you think the website is a scam do not click on any links and do not input any personal information.
