CyberWise Cyber Security & Resilience Event

More and more customers are asking small suppliers to show they've covered the cyber security basics. This free session for local businesses explains what that means in practice.

It's funded by Ards and North Down Borough Council, so there are no vendor sales pitches. We'll cover:

• Cyber Essentials: what it is, why customers ask for it, and how certification shows you take cyber security seriously. Eligible organisations may also access up to £25,000 in cyber liability insurance.
• Fraud and cyber threats: guest speakers on the risks facing SMEs and what to do about them.
• A practical exercise: working through how your business would respond to an incident. No technical knowledge is needed.

We'll also talk about a funded mentoring programme for five Ards and North Down businesses, starting in November, to prepare for Cyber Essentials Plus. Participants can claim back up to 50% of certification costs.
